100%. And I think it’s important for adults to realize that the golden rule is for children. If you want to be in a healthy relationship: do unto others as THEY would like done onto THEM.
She means no harm, and has no ill will so it’s not a major problem or even really a minor problem. I will respect the way she would like me to communicate with her I just ask. for the same in return.
Honestly, that sounds awful to go through. It really sounds like whether she’s trying to manipulate you or just apathetic and irresponsible, you’re only going to continue going through a cycle of hurt and rejection. I don’t really have any amazing advice for you, unfortunately, but it sounds like you might need to let go of expectations around having a mum that goes to bat for your relationship (which really sucks and you shouldn’t have to do).

Sounds like your wife isn’t emotionally strong enough to come out and admit that she went back on the parenting agreement you had and is actively stifling any real progress with helping your son truly earn a win, because she can’t stomach the thought of damaging his ego in the process. This is so so twisted.. I didn't try to groom anyone, I wasn't taking advantage of her situation for god's sake. I honestly just wanted to give them the life they deserve after all the shit they went through. And I liked her as a person. It's that simple. She even told me that that's what she wants – a simple life in a small town far from the place that is tied to her past.

This is like that saga where that woman was convinced that her neighbor was in love with her when they barely had a friendship. She was posting on here talking about reconsidering a relationship with him after watching his kids for him and his pregnant wife, while his wife was in the hospital, because she wasn’t sure if she would be a good step mom because the kids were “brats.” And then the neighbor found all the posts, and had to tell her that he never saw her in that way and to not contact him again.
We warned her over and over that he was not into her, and that she was creating a narrative in her head about a how the wife was awful and she would save her neighbor from the evil wife, and he was definitely interested because they would chat when they commuted on the same train. Delusional as hell. She just would not listen and then got her ass handed to her.
