I’m sorry that happened to you and hearing from people who have suffered makes me realize she’s a horrible person. I haven’t been abused so I didn’t fully grasp how bad this is. I did try 2x from a burner account to comment on the doula company she works for on their social media. The first time the first account was blocked, second time her boss threatened to basically take legal action for libel if I wrote any other comments naming her (first name only). I got spooked and gave up. I linked the podcast both times and her boss couldn’t have cared less. Makes me think that if they support her just because she’s personable and ignore the podcast she was on and what they’re being warned of that none of them should be around babies at all.
We went as two friends, on the road to being more than friends, and we both knew we liked each other for a little while I’d just been too scared to act on it until that night.
I think that's where your disconnect is happening. She Doesn't see it as a waste bc she loves having these experiences with you and they are memory making. But you need to be honest with yourself and with her. Stop powering through something you sincerely do not get enjoyment from. Or find a compromise of a smaller, intimate concert. Like an acoustic set etc. If you're still powering through these a couple times a year, then you are giving mixed signals despite what you're saying.
