Its important to respect people's boundaries. If you want to jack off to porn, then be with someone who is fine or agreeable to that. Don't go out with someone who's extremely against porn and then lie to them about your useage because you don't care about it as much as they do.

horrendously bullied as a kid
Often leads to trust issues, and not picking up subtle signs of friendship. I'm great at shallow interactions but only realise something is an invitation to a closer friendship long after it happens if I notice it at all. Often my reaction to the comment is negative, even strongly negative, and I say things like “why would you tell me that?” or “what made you think I wanted to know that?”.
I mean, sure ND, but I think this is mostly an abuse response. My mother treated me as an emotional support animal all through my teens (she's anxious avoidant as well, so would DARVO me and demand hugs and reassurance if I got upset). So my immediate response to any emotional closeness is to get the fuck out of there. This is also problematic when it comes to dealing with therapists, for obvious reasons.
