It’s funny that you think things would’ve been easier with her working. Maybe she was enjoying time bonding with and raising your children, and the house work can wait. You sound like you don’t realize how difficult it is to be home with children day every day. Maybe you could have offered to help clean instead of offering solutions that don’t involve you having ti do anything different. Did you book doctors appts for your kids? Did you sign them up for their extracurriculars? Register them for school? Read the emails from the teachers, make sure to sign their forms, etc. Do you know what your kids will and won’t eat in their lunches? Did you take them on regular outings and make sure they were being socialized?
Or did you have a job and think that was contributing enough?
