Please excuse my ignorance here but I’m just looking for some clarification. I know I’m dense but I’m m having difficulty reading between the lines. The daughter died in an accident and the two other siblings subsequently committed suicide because they couldn’t deal with the grief?
Am I understanding this right or am I way off? Please understand I’m not trying to be insensitive to OP, I’m honestly just trying to get a full picture of the situation.
That’s really disappointing that she’d react that way. Ultimately though, you should give her the space she asked for. You can’t force her to accept a totally normal situation, so let her process it how she needs while you also take this time to think if you want to be with this person

it occasionally comes up. like today we were playing a question game & one of the questions was ‘what is the most hurtful thing i’ve said to you’ and he brought up the SW thing. how it felt like i didn’t care for or respect him at all. that’s when i’ve realized he hasn’t forgiven me. otherwise we don’t talk about it. or think about it. at least for me, but like i said i think he’ll resent me in the future if he doesn’t forgive me
She is her own person I recognize this more now, i told her the food stops idea and she loves it and it makes me feel better knowing that I’m giving her support as opposed to trying to control the outcome of the hike. Thanks so much.
