My take from your post is that she broke your trust due to a lie. Maybe she felt embarrassed and didn't know what you would think? I can't speak for her but if you want to remove these thoughts, you will have to speak directly to her and tell her what bothers you and why.
All relationships hinge on communication and so far the two of you aren't meeting this need.
