I think that somebody that can't talk about the suffering they've caused others with someone they love is somebody that hasn't really come to terms with their issues.
Don't think about forgiving him! He will just see this as “i got away with this once, i will get away with it again!” When you forgive fim one time, he knows you will forgive him again (even if you say otherwise). He will also be more careful.
And always ask yourself: would you treat your partner who you love and respect and asked to spend the life with, like this?! No! He betrayed you! He disrespected you. He was next to you in bed and chatted with another woman about what he wants to do with her.
