Hey I'm in the same boat. I understand what you are feeling right now. I was going to propose to her in a week. 3.5 years in chaos right now. Thanks for typing this. I too felt the urge for validation. I opened tinder like 3 times in 2 years and I just got kinda happy by the numbers going up. No chatting, no flirting just watching the numbers. We all have our insecurities. You are no terrible person because of this. I wish you good luck and hopefully she gives you a chance to make things better again.
Using her to “figure out” your feelings is really selfish. Now that you know, you need to end the relationship. Stringing her along is awful.
Yeah a lot of her response makes sense to me — it is all awful and traumatic for everyone in the family, though in different ways. I don’t know that she’s pretending so much as trying to process it all.
This doesn’t exclude the possibility that she is still an unbearable asshole.
He said he still wanted to be friends. She could have said no to the relationship and he could have walked but he didn’t. So he was agreeing that friends was totally okay with him. But it wasn’t. That’s not fair to her. He also kept buying her stuff and she told him to stop.
I wish I knew. I’m asleep for all of it, and the only details I know are from what he tells me. I don’t know whether he’s exaggerating or dreaming himself
