If he has a good work ethic then he should pick up a trade. Construction, welding, machining, carpentry, I mean these are all needed so it would be a good fit for him. So suggest that to him, bring up your concerns as well because they are valid. I think bringing up concerns are a healthy part of a relationship. And if she shuts you down or doesn't come back with any viable solution to any of this then sure, cut your losses.
