Hey man, the first couple break ups are always the hardest.

What did you expect would happen? You've been “in love” with him for a year, while your friend was dating him, and you were allowing him to complain about her to you. Not very friend-like behavior. If I was your friend, I'd never be able to trust you again and I'd be done with the “friendship”.
