You should seek therapy, truly. At the very least do some self reflection on what traumatic even, situation or person that is giving you emotional hang ups and etc.
Just remember the only person you're hurting in these situations, is the other girl.
I guess I’m being passive because when I tried being direct he said I was making him feel like “the bad guy” so I’m trying to say things as gently as possible :/ In an incident before those I asked him to “Please wash his dishes because they’ve been in the sink for two days” and that turned into a three hour conversation about how the fact that I said they were ‘his’ dishes made him feel attacked. It feels like no matter what I say it’s wrong so you’re right in that I could probably work on my delivery.
A year ago we moved to a new city and both started new jobs and that’s when this change begun. I don’t understand why. I have told him I feel like the way he responds to me has changed but he says he is just learning how to stand up for himself and not let me walk all over him.
