I got a puppy once. It's really like having a baby. At one point the little thing was looking at me whimpering when she had food, water, didn't need to pee, and still whimpered when I had her on my lap. I had many sleepless nights because of her and I was just breaking down crying and decided I was going to give her back to the breeder. I had 5 dogs growing up and plenty of pets in my life, but a puppy was something else. I sat on the decision and very soon got into a routine that worked. I loved and spoiled that damn dog her whole life and my whole world fell in on itself when she passed.
This may be a bad owner situation, those do exist, but it would be good if you talked to her about how to work through the issues she's having. I'm sorry she's not as fun on Facetime, but it may just be stress she needs to vent.
And you have been told MULTIPLE TIMES that it's on her not you. She doesn't feel guilty so you shouldn't either. Are you going to listen to everyone's advice or keep parroting the same “I feel bad” over and over until she gets all the free money your attempting to give her that she clearly doesn't appreciate?
let me just highlight your answer here as it is the correct one. sheesh
Woo yeah that was quite the mess up. A real apology for the flipant response would be good. And yall need to figure an agreement on baby's last name when the time comes. He likely wants to pass his name down, too, and share baby's last name.
Gotta be honest with things, too, not act like last name isn't a big deal to placate him and try to cover your mess up when clearly last name is important to you as well. You need to both listen to each other's side of why last name is imporant for both of you because both sides are valid.
In the end maybe a double last name will work out best. Then you both have a name connection to the child and both families represented.
