He's a bully who needs to put others down to build his own confidence. Once they find your weakpoint they will exploit it every chance they get.
What helped for me with my bully was just turning my back and let everything slide of it. I do not engage or respond in any way when he tries to bully me again. I will also not diminish myself. When he makes fun of my dancing skill, I dance a little harder. I just pretend I don't give a flying f about him and turn to talk to the person next to him.
It's not easy, and it will not make you feel any less bad when he does his shit, but at least it will not give him te satisfaction and with time, you will become an uninteresting target. Confidence is a trade bullies can't handle
I see two separate issues.
One, it's okay to no longer want to excessively drink until 2 in the morning. They're both older and in a different stage of life, not just married but bodies changing. It's costly with time and money. It should be her choice to drink but surely you guys can socialize without bar hoping.
Two, maybe she is in controlling relationship and isn't happy. I don't know but hints indicate it's possible. Maybe just try to be supportive as you have b and ensure she can still feel comfortable confiding in you in the future. Maybe resources would help but it's also possible bringing up concerns could widen a gap between you guys so you probably need professional advice on dealing with the situation rather than reddit.
