Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has a different life experience. Both my best friend and I left home when we were 16, so I suppose I can understand that your girlfriend has seen a lot more out of life at 18 than most girls her age would. I believe that played a great role in building her character. As I said, if she hasn't made any bad life choices, then I don't see a problem here. And honestly, I did not expect so many negative comments! I know lots of happy couples with a 5+ years gap, some of them have been together from 18, maybe it's just more common where I live. Firstly, as I mentioned earlier, I was the one who started having issues with intimacy first. We talked about it, even when I was uncomfortable, but I realised and he made it a point too, that this is something that affects the both of us. But when it was something that was also affecting him, rather than talking about it, he just went ahead with a solution that worked for him without telling me.
