I'd say cheating is almost always a series of choices made one after the other, each choice allowing you to stop and choose not to continue and cheat on your partner. Driving drunk is stupid and dangerous, but it's still only one choice. To cheat you have to go out or go live and find someone you find attractive, flirt, probably have some drinks or go on a date, be touchy and make them feel like youre into them, go home together, probably have drinks or talk first, then you sleep with them. At any point in that long dating process they have the chance to stop. At any point they can choose to not follow through with hurting their partner. That's why it's worse, and that's why I agree with you.
Sounds like she is not straight so you did the right thing getting a divorce
You've surely both changed a lot since you were 13 and you've just possibly grown into people who are no longer compatible. You might try to couples counseling. But very few childhood romances go the distance and this is why.
None just embrace the fact she's with you.
This is good advice. Whether or not the problem is about you, I think you then need to play back that you'll work with her to fix whatever it is, but the way she talks to you is not OK and has to stop.
Have to say if my partner used the R word at all in my hearing, never mind to me personally, I'd have a strong reaction.
But isnt a partner supposed to be supportive?
