You are cripplingly insecure and it’s not good for you. Also, I feel like you’re in danger of getting sucked into the tradwife sphere with the way you idealize and put relationships on a pedestal. You are allowed to be attracted to people who are not your partner. You are allowed to think other people are beautiful or handsome even if you wouldn’t be interested in them sexually. And for the love of god, you’re allowed to have opposite gender friends (even if they are single).
Also, this whole sex-negative modern day stuff? Yeah people did cheat on the 60’s. People didn’t suddenly get LESS faithful. We just have access to social media now where it’s super easy to put somebody on blast, or stalk them, or make up a bunch of drama. Don’t idealize the past. People married young and didn’t get as divorced as much because it was more socially stigmatized and women had less options to take care of themselves. I think a married woman wasn’t allowed to open her own bank account until like the 80’s. It wasn’t more romantic back then, people just stayed in shitty marriages where they were unhappy instead of moving on.
