1. Oh ok, so if you could afford an older car for this what is her reason for refusing? Just cuz she thinks it’s stupid? I mean, again, I see where she’s coming from because I do think they should provide company cars for that purpose. But if you both get paid well and can afford it I think a good compromise would be for her to agree to a cheap car for this for now, keep your eye out for one of those jobs that may become available, and then take it and sell the car to get some money back. Not sure how stubborn she’s feeling about this, but if it was me that’s what I would suggest. I definitely don’t think you should completely sacrifice your happiness, so she’s gotta give a little bit somewhere.
