Ehhhh I don’t think that’s all that much of an age difference. At least not something that makes him a bad person. I was still in college at 23. In theory I could have met an 18 year old guy in one of my classes and dating him, if we hit it off, wouldn’t be all that weird.
Why not both? Maybe give step dad a nod and have him go first, but don’t let the weird rituals of weddings stop you from modifying. The whole point is for it to be what you want!
