I understand. In France we have something called residence service, which are basically small studios disabled (but still independent) people can rent. The studios are in the vicinity of the nursing home so the residents can get quick medical attention or help if needed. If there’s something similar in the US, it might be great for your mom.
As for painkillers, I’ve had patients who stayed on daily 1 to 2g of paracetamol for 40+ years and they were more than fine (even liver wise). My last patients was 90+, on paracetamol for years and survived bowels cancer. TBH, I’d rather have a patient on paracetamol than on smokable cannabis. Cannabis is great and its scientific properties are as well, don’t get me wrong, but smoking it means your mom is filling her lungs with smoke (and combustion smoke), which isn’t ideal, especially for someone who fought cancer previously.
TBH, most patients choose to smoke cannabis because they like it and they like the THC effect so it’s fine if you discover your mom doesn’t want off cannabis because she actually likes smoking it (not just for the pain).
as a former dancer, that isn’t too much money to spend in one’s in multiple hours. if this is a deal breaker for you i’d end it. he has lied multiple times to you.
Hey guys thank you all for commenting, i was thinking about it all day and just really needed to vent somewhere. We live in a country where catcalling is fairly common. I’ve had discussions about it with my gf in the past and she’s always said that she just ignores it and they don’t deserve her time. While i do think she is 100% right i just feel like the people who are willing to talk like that to strangers are sick and WILL eventually assault someone. I was thinking maybe violence and fear is the only way to keep these sick people from attacking anyone. Maybe if i had beaten him up he would think twice before insulting anyone in the future. Maybe i’m talking none sense but what happened really shook me.

In my experience, cats either get along or not, and you can tell from the first 6 months. I doubt it will ever improve while those two cats live together, unless maybe confining each to certain parts of the house. He seems quite firm that the cat needs to go, so honor his wishes and move out with her.
She would rather hate her own relative for having sex than have some empathy for her, so you two are incompatible.
