Staying in touch with an ex, outside of commitments that must continue past the relationship (for example, children), is often a sign they are not over them.
That relationship didn't work out. He should be moving on with his life. That he is struggling with this is a pretty large red flag.
Most people would tell you to end things once you know you're not compatible. I do understand your reluctance to break up right after the first time you have sex, though. But you also don't want to lead her on and let her get more attached to you.
You could certainly try dating/sex with her a little longer to see if things improve–sex often gets better as you get more comfortable with the other person–before actually ending things. but don't wait TOO long.
Contacting him isn't going to do anything. Hearing from you will not give him any “revelation”. Your best bet is to inform the school. Why do you care about about his public appearance? He clearly doesn't. He's a predator who will definitely do it to another young girl, if he isn't already. You're in a position to try and get him fired from his main source of finding these girls. Please do the right thing. You may save somebody else.
