No it is not a problem and she shouldn't pay for half the house. She is his tenant and the agreement they made is she would pay half the bills. She will not gain any equity in the home but that is no different than renting an apartment or home with a company. In this scenario he gets the benefit of gaining equity and she gets the benefit if she decides tommorow she doesn't want to be with him anymore she can leave with no contractual obligations. Also if he decides he doesn't want to be with her she is protected from being kicked out and he will have to go through the eviction process so she has some safeguards. If this relationship is as good as it seems then all will be okay in the end. Having 2 people on a mortgage that aren't married is a horrible decision for both parties. If things don't work there is a huge legal battle that can ensure etc. Best to keep things simple

Was thinking he just doesn’t have the “guys’ guy” personality or presentation. Could also be ND or a highly sensitive person. Nothing wrong with any of those! I kinda relate bc this could describe me but from the women’s side. Not in a humble brag way but that I look like I should fit in with the majority of straight women and I 10,000% don’t and have always struggled a bit with friendships. I’ve always been a few-close-friends type of person and most of my friends are queer or ND. I’m reading the HSP book myself and I really relate to that a lot and it talks about how we can have difficulties with friendships so that’s why I thought of it.
