I am lucky that I have a great relationship with my mom, but I am horrible at texting/calling. So instead I send pictures or small updates in my life. Like pics of my cat, or updates on how I did on an exam, or a picture of my husband and me on a date.
If you dad truly wants a relationship, he can further initiate a convo based on the tiny snippet you give in those texts. Or at the very least it gives him a sense of engagement in your life because you sending him pictures/mundane texts let's him know you're thinking of him and what him to know about you. It's also a bit easier to avoid triggering topics that would initiate arguing this way.
Imagine a dude repeatedly trying to hug you after you’ve expressed clear verbal non-consent.
You tell him “seriously! Stop! It’s making me uncomfortable!”
He tries to hug you again.
You can feel desperation getting higher as he repeatedly violates your bodily autonomy and treats you like you have no right to refuse him the entire time.
You keep repeatedly asking, begging, demanding that they stop, but he keeps trying to get ahold of you no matter how you dodge or run or ask him to stop

The dude is still full of red flags (mostly for throwing stuff and the gaslighting after) but eventually escalating to physical reactions when your body is violated against your will is entirely reasonable.
So tiktok thing is just been a thing bc I told her I didn’t like it but I support her regardless for it. But that’s the least concern. I did tell her I didn’t like that she talked to her co workers like that and she said “stop babe, it’s not serious we love talking like that, it’s just a joke” so it’s like well I mean what do I do there. She mentioned a couple months ago too that co workers apparently cheat and have sex in the back of the ambulance trucks all the time but would never do that to me. But idk just seems weird to me. She does have anger issues which she mentioned multiple times, and gets upset fast
