When my sister caught covid, I wore it around the house and didn't catch it.
My mom went to lunch with some friends and caught rsv, which set off a copd exacerbation, and she was in the hospital for a week. I stayed with her 90% of the time and wore my mask. I didn't catch it.
So yeah, not masking during a pandemic and bringing a disease home to your kid that kills them is negligent.

Jesus Christ…. I have 3 degrees. I have a MA in literature. This woman sounds like she hides behind her education. Being the smartest person in the room is a lonely place to be; you can't learn anything from anyone or have a meaningful exchange of experience. She sounds miserable. If you ask me, I would never waste my time on someone who has deceived themselves into thinking that an “education” automatically makes them superior to others. Being able to connect with people makes life rich and worthwhile. Building a wall around yourself to prove worth screams pretention and insecurity. To hell with all that nonsense.

If she’s coming over unannounced while you’re there and it’s causing conflict then certainly you can tell him that it makes you uncomfortable.
I dunno. My (44F) ex husband and I still pet sit for each other and we’ve been divorced 5 years, living apart for 6 and both are repartnered and cohabitating. It’s never been an issue and neither of us abuse having access to the other home.
I personally wouldn’t date someone who wasn’t actually divorced with everything settled but to each their own.
It sounds like the OP and her boyfriend were already breaking up due to the move, so I’m not sure what the motivation would be. Also, if it’s a catfish, it seems her friend that sent the profile would be the only suspect.
