Yes. I agree. That said, there are many compromises one must make when living with someone else. The first year or two are the most difficult. Sometimes petty. Who’s dishes will we prominently display? Which tchotchkes get front and center? Who controls the remote control? Are there other spaces to even things out? Sleeping patterns, bathroom usage? Storage? What meals to prepare? Laundry, hair care, toothpaste? Who takes out the trash? Etc. so much. Relationships are complicated and they’re always works in progress but after the first couple years living together it should get easier.
if quality time is your love language and he's not willing to give you the amount you need, then it's not going to get any better because you'll cause resentment if he gives in.
I am personally more like your partner where I prefer the short bursts with my wife.
What I don't like about this is how my boyfriend pats her on her shoulder. It's more like how guys pat each other but I still don't like it.

I added my wife’s friend and we chatted. This was when we were still dating. We didn’t chat everyday but maybe once or twice a week. She knew we were talking and didn’t bother her, as her friend was in a relationship with a guy that we were all friends with. Her friend and I grew up in the same area so we had stuff to talk about.
Now one day her friend sent me some messages late at night. I didn’t want my then gf to see, so I hate deleted them. My gf then said “who was texting you this late?” And I brushed it off and lied by saying “work”.
Now. If you preface all that you can easily assume I’m a MASSIVE asshole right. Or something of the caliber? Comments here would be screaming that I’m a cheat and was either emotionally or physically fucking her friend.
