This is the time you 100% focus on yourself. I’ve been exactly where you are, granted it wasn’t 8 years. My ex told me to stop contacting and be being in my depressed lonely and hurt state kept doing the exact opposite until the point she literally hated me. I was a mess and I look back on how I acted years ago in total embarrassment. Don’t be that guy. She doesn’t owe you any explanation, and tbh you don’t really need to hear it.
Block her back, delete the photos and focus on you. Pick up a new hobby, start working out and going for walks.
I don’t think it’s necessarily transphobic, I mean if there’s no other possible reason the person could have won the award, it is indeed probable that it was made as some sort of political statement. It seems like he has no problem with someone who is a great athlete earning it, and that seems to be the concern. I’d be pissed too if someone who was a bench warmer and contributed very little won an award over more deserving people simply because of optics for the athletic program. I’d talk to him more. It doesn’t seem like he said anything hateful, it seems more like frustration because it appears that it was a political decision

On the show Catfish the top three clues someone is catfishing you are:

This sounds like a catfish. There's a thing they do on the show where you can essentially send the person a link to something of your choosing and when they click on it it will show you their location via their IP address. If you're actually wanting to pursue this I would really start asking some serious questions.
I know you've invested a lot of time in this, but you're young. This sounds sketchy as fuck.
The feeling is quite natural. Ask yourself, if he was single, would you want something short term or long term with him?
So they let him down. For all their intelligence a 13 year old boy was more determined than they were. His job is to Rebel, so it’s on them. He got away with the freedom they allowed.
Now they will probably pay the greater price because he will probably be in their house a long time.
