I have read a couple of self help books, one that I can't recall, the other The five love languages. I've asked him to read it too, it's sitting in the bathroom untouched for 3 years. I bought him a really small book written especially for husbands and he didn't read it either. I'm not sure why he doesn't seem to want to have a deep relationship with me. I am worried that I'm just unlikeable.
It's terrible you both cut people from your lifes. Friendships are precious, and just ghosting friends because of insecurity in a relationship is terrible and a sign of a bad friend.
Work on your feelings towards this. Learn to trust her and be okay with her having friends. Same for her. You two need to have friends. Limiting that is highly toxic.
