Thank you so much for your response. We planned a fun date today, went to arcade and played some games and it was lovely. Unfortunately, it ended in us fighting again, and subsequently, this post. We both really want to sort this out and it's difficult because we're not completely sure why we're upset at each other (or ourselves) and managing to fight, even at the end of a lovely date.

OF COURSE he thinks that! He isn’t doing jack shit! He’s eating the food, he can get off his ass and cook some of it.
The real problem you have, though, is that his mask has slipped. You’re seeing the real him. The him that thinks you’re his maid, his mommy, and his sex toy all in one. You don’t have a partner. You have a child in an adult body.

This is the end of the relationship. Its not just the sex. It is the total and complete disrespect for you on every single level and the lack of remorse.
My mother is still friends with all her exs (besides my father). I personally don't understand how an innocent chat with someone you don't have bad blood with is horrible. I'm married and if my husband ran into his ex and chatted I wouldn't be upset. But does seem her husband has insecurities that he's taking out on OP.
