Unless you're up for a long engagement (at least three years) it would be premature to get engaged. It sounds like the two of you are on track to be self sufficient and financially independent in the near future. But you're not there yet and neither of you has yet cleared that all important fully developed brain stage (25+). It's far too soon for an ultimatum and if you're serious about wanting this to last for life you'll change that 2024 wedding date to one in 2026. Getting married isn't the finish line, it's just the beginning of the race. The race is a marathon and the more prepared you are for it the better chance you have of finishing. At 22 and never having lived together neither one of you can truly know if what you have is what you're going to want for life. So be patient.
