Help someone through a tough time is ok and should be commended. However “crying because someone looked at you” is not something most people can help someone with. I agree OP is likely leaving out a lot as this sounds like a typical trauma response. I doubt OP is qualified, knowledgeable enough, or capable to deal with this on their own. GF needs professional therapy and their are many resources available to trauma victims. I just don’t like making assumptions and advising people to take on tasks they likely will fail at. OP can support, comfort, and reassure GF. but GF needs to tackle the root of this problem or it’s only likely to get worst and only a professional mental healthcare expert can do that successfully.
Whoa there! I did not see those comments. This changes a few things. Its beyond just a lack of desire for sex, it seems like she's lost interest in him period. She told him to sleep somewhere else so the kids could sleep with her?? Nope.
This might've been one of those relationships where the woman just really wanted kids and now that she has them there's no need for the husband anymore. It's not uncommon for women like this to purposefully cause contention so the husband will file for divorce and she wont look like the bad guy.

I focused a lot on work and i didn't give my all in the last year of my relationships with her. I never said the issue is you drinking or not drinking. The issue is having alcohol in the house and being around the children. Also having someone your ex clearly can’t trust be the one to be drinking makes this even worse. That is an aggressively reasonable thing for her to not be okay with. And you not understanding this is a major red flag on your parenting skills and basic empathy.
