It may be that she doesn't get much hate at all. She's in a very different life position to you. You don't know what's going to happen so I think you should adopt an attitude of positivity and encouragement instead of trying to prepare her for the worst. It sounds like she can handle it anyway.
Fair point and it terrifies me to think of that
You don't get to just take your kid, that's not how it works.
That's what I'm struggling with.
Why settle for two years straight and one day say different. It is confusing and I'm just trying to make sense of it.
Assuming you two don't have any kids together, it's probably best for both of you to go your separate ways and a divorce could go relatively quick. Unfortunately, this is an old story many have experienced and it almost always ends the same way.
Split up, live your own lives, learn more about yourselves and what you really want out of life and relationships. You'll both be better individuals and potential mates for someone down the line.
Good luck!
It sounds like she's a new yorker and she grew up in NY and her entire family also lives in NY… so of course, she will love NYC. Just like how you love your own hometown for the same reasons.
It sounds like you want to live in your hometown and SHE wants to live! in her hometown. Both are respectable desires. There's needs to be some compromise on both sides. You need to have a clear discussion with her about your future and both of your feelings. This will clear up any questions and lead to other questions that can help you find the answer.
