Sure it’s possible, though there are things that make it difficult.
The breakup period is difficult and it’s difficult to transition to friends with no time apart in between.
It’s difficult to start a new relationship when still close friends with your ex. They’ll likely be wary of dating someone who still sees their ex regularly and it may be harder to find someone to date.
Other people may not understand the transition.
Just FYI, my dad married another woman while married to my mom. And had the mistress on his insurance. It’s possible.
