This age gap is a problem. You have already done things YOU didn’t want to do, just because you felt like you should do so to be polite. (Meet up with him, and accept the proposal). This man doesn’t care about you. He is intentionally manipulating you and making you feel pressured to do things you actually don’t want to. This is a bad relationship that will bring you unappiness. It is time to break up. Remember that he is the one being rude and mean and crossing boundaries like buying a plane ticket so you would feel obligated to meet him, not you.
He ACTUALLY looked at me confused and said he thought I wouldn't take it so seriously. When I told him I will report what he said to me as a “joke” to the higher ups. He changed his tone and pleaded with me to not say anything and that he didn't know I would take it so bad. And that it happened in a split moment without him thinking about what he was really saying.
But never has he said anything like racist remarks or something alike.
I say that you document the incident and just let this one go. Sometimes people are just genuinely ignorant so maybe he'll learn. See what he does to rectify his wrong doings, and if he continues on
