First and foremost your feeling matter. Any relationship needs to have an open forum for you to speak freely and openly about your conflicts and difficulties. I grew up with strict parents also and was scared to death about telling them I was dating someone, but if that makes you feel uncomfortable you should consider talking about it. Why won’t he tell his parents? When does he plan to? How does this make you feel?- is the most important question. You are both still young and part of life is making mistakes and learning from them. He needs to work on his relationship with his parents and honesty with them. All of this can erode trust and satisfaction with you if left unresolved and you should consider putting your mental health and happiness first. Listen to your gut and seek support from those that know you and your situation since they may be able to continually remind you of your best interest and help you gauge how you want to continue. Conflict, communication, and resolution are always going to follow you in any relationship but if you feel uneasy and he’s not willing to make compromises it might be something to weigh against the relationship continuing. Also, it seems like trust and your sense of value are shattered. These are very important in any relationship so if you choose to continue seeing him you will have to address how to repair that broken trust.
