Your boyfriend has severe mental illness and needs help. Nothing you do matters until he gets into therapy. Video games and streaming are just fine. Living in actual filth is not.
Do not consider living with this person unless he changes in a major way. I'm sure you love him, but you need to understand that his illness will consume you and take you down.
This person needs help first and foremost. He should even be in a relationship if he can't take care of himself. Everything about your relationship is secondary to the fact that this person is severely depressed.
Get him help and worry about everything else after. That's my advice.
I have tried, but he wasn't very close to his family and a lot of his friends were live friends he played games online with, and I didn't know them. I've gotten no response so far. I trust that he is okay but I'm still worried about him. At this point I just want to know for sure if he's fine.

Could be a sign of neurodiversity. To her the connection is crystal clear and she doesn't get why your brain hasn't seen the same pattern as hers.

It shouldn’t be, and if you take a look at other laws in many of those places they definitely aren’t the arbitrators of morality.
