No. Regardless if he cheated or not, he told you a bold faced lie. He didn’t feel an ounce of guilt lying to you. How would you ever be able trust him again? How would you be able to believe he didn’t cheat on you?
Because you’re asking whether you should give him a chance, it’s probably something you’re considering (even though you shouldn’t.) So if you do decide to give him a second chance, make sure it’s just a second chance. No third or fourth chance. He needs to be completely honest with you. Why did he lie? How did he think you would react to finding out he lied? Did he think this trip was worth losing you over? If not, why did he decide to go through with it anyway? Does he think you’re a doormat and will just accept his bullshit treatment? What is he going to do to earn your trust back? Is he will to completely cut off this friend? Will he hand over his phone so you read their texts/messages/snaps without deleting them first? Can you look at his phone records? Will he turn his locations on?
