I know this is hot… but you both need to just cut this off. If you’re unsure, I’d suggest talking to him. It sounds like you want to make sure that this won’t fester and cause an issue in the future, which is totally reasonable. Be honest and tell him you woke up and overheard, and then tell him you want to make sure you two can be on the same page about this decision as it affects you both. In the end, it is your decision, but it would be great to both be on the same side about it.
Also, I don’t get why people are giving you a hot time about hearing his session. If he wanted to be absolutely sure it was private, he shouldn’t have done his therapy session right outside the room you were sleeping in. Was it okay for you to eavesdrop and not tell him you could hear? No, not really. BUT he also should have been more careful. If he gets upset that you overheard him, make a plan for how his sessions can stay private from here on out.
