So your immediate reaction to her beginning to try to talk to you about something very important was to throw something deep and personal in her face. Something you absolutely knew would hurt/affect her negatively. Oh it'd be over if I were her. My trust in you would be immediately gone. She's not a manipulative person. Kids probably seemed like a totally fine idea when y'all were younger at the start of the relationship. Kids are seen as an expected default anyway. But now that y'all are getting married and what used to be y'all's “future” plans are now here/coming up. And that makes it all….real. And SHE'S gonna be the one carrying the baby. SHE'S gonna be the one going through labor and possibly dying. SHE'S gonna be the default parent of the kid when feeding, etc. She has way more work in it than you ever will. That fact alone may be overwhelming her now. Reality is hitting and maybe she's been too nervous to tell you because, like I said, society expects women to always give our men babies. Even if they secretly don't want to have kids. Whatever the case is, I can completely see why she'd be scared to talk to you about this.
