I have; never with any success. She’s a very detail-oriented person and I’m a bit more emotive, so when I try to talk about how I feel it very quickly devolves down into her demanding specific examples and me being unable to provide anything more concrete than “I feel this when this happens.”
I recognise that communication is very much a 2-way street and I’ve tried to talk to her in the way she deals with the world: specifics and details. This always seems to make her feel directly attacked, which leads to her crying and me feeling like I need to comfort her. Which then leaves the issue I wanted to talk about completely unresolved.
I really don’t have anything left to give here. I still care about her but I just don’t want to keep trying to push this forward when it doesn’t feel like she is as well.

I don’t know what’s going on here with the texting, but you don’t know anything about this guy. You’ve met once, won’t be able to meet in person regularly for awhile, and your communication appears to be almost entirely via text. He seemed really into you briefly in that context and that’s it. I wouldn’t be getting even remotely hung up on him at this point.
Walk away – you where probably his 154 th lover . I doubt he’s ever been faithful. Telling the wife – are you telling her through your own morals or through revenge? Remember, she’s hearing this for the first time and her world will fall apart . I for one , would walk away and let it be. Not your circus or monkey .
