With all due respect, she's not stupid. She's in an extremely disorienting, confusing, abusive situation with someone she loves who is manipulating and emotionally abusing her. She feels exactly how he wants her to feel.

People in abusive relationships don't need to be namecalled or ridiculed. There's a difference between a wakeup call and being assertive or firm, and being cruel.
I totally understand the frustration when reading posts like these. It's hard as an outside observer to see something that's so clearly abusive, and to see the poster not recognizing that.
