  1. In my experience with myself and friends When people move into a space that was there partners before the relationship they often don’t get free rain to change things around especially like construction changes. To be honest it is a adjustment having a someone in your space. From what you have said I don’t really get what’s wrong with there relationship is it a little weird they didn’t have a more open conversation about her making the house hers to maybe but my fiancé was here a few months before we did construction for his gaming room

  2. Hello /u/TA99989,

Your post was removed for the following reason(s):

Your title did not include at least two ages/genders or was not formatted correctly

    Posts must:

include details about the involved parties including ages, genders, and length of relationship, and

request advice in real situations involving two or more people

We are enforcing the two rules listed above by making all titles start with ages/genders in the following format:

[##X][##X], [## X][## X], or [##-X][##-X] where ## is the age and X is the gender (currently M, F, T, A, NB, FTM, MTF but more can be added). You can have more than two ages/genders listed, but you must have at least two at the beginning of your title. Here is an example:

[34NB][88-F] We are two people in an example post

Please resubmit with a corrected title.

  4. I wouldn't want you alone with my child either if I was him. You keep downplaying your actions, YOUR child have died because of your inability to take care of them and neglet. Of course he doesn't trust you, stuff like that is nude to get past. The one time he went out to relax you decide it would be the time to watch her alone? You could have picked any other time. Obviously professional help is needed for you both individually and as a pair

  5. Brush your teeth, shower, moisturize, wash your hair, wash your ass crack, wear deodorant, wear clean clothes, keep your place clean, and try dating again. As long as you're clean and smell okay, and have a decent personality, you'll be able to find someone worthwhile. You're only 22.

  7. I lost the most wonderful person I knew to addiction. He's similar to how you're describing your husband, down to no children and our dogs. I was grateful we didn't have children. I was shocked when I realized he was addicted, and even more shocked he was willing to sacrifice us to this addiction. I knew he loved me, and us, but that craving meant much, much more. I realized there were people who knew my husband better than I did, and that saddened me. But this is about you.

The sad thing is, unless he wants help, nothing will change. You can't force him to change. The only one you can change is you. Make yourself strong. Realize the end game may be the demise of your relationship. This will make you strong enough to try to prevent it beforehand, but not be devastated if it doesn't work out. Now, set things in motion. Stop nagging him. He doesn't want a mother or a cop. It makes him not trust you as you don't trust him. Secure your finances. Separate yours from his. If he wants to speak about the source of his pain, listen! This is the source blood of addiction. But if he tries to give excuses for his behavior, practice BIFF: Brief, Informative, Friendly, and Firm. Just get in and out, with no judgement, but no time to listen to his lies or his routine. Create a strong support system outside of him. Do not hide his addiction. Addicts thrive in hiding. Exposure without ridicule helps bring light to their darkness. Let his prescribing doctor know. The doctor can't really talk to you about it, but they should be regulating his health, and this additional information is important.

And take time to take care of yourself. Your mental health is important too. Peace to you.

  8. The world is really unkind to mothers who choose not to have their children because having a new man is more important than them. If this post was written by a man who was giving his daughter up because his new wife didn't want her, he would be just as shitty as this sorry excuse for a mother. Willingly giving your child up is disgusting. But I'm glad this is happening because that child deserves to live with a parent who loves and values her. It's unfortunate that her egg donor (this woman lost the right to be considered a mother) doesn't.

  9. Was there a break up? You mention one, but nothing in your behavior suggests you actually take it seriously. You're hanging out as if you're just waiting to wake up from a bad dream and all continues on as normal. While people like to be optimistic, it's not being particularly realistic about the situation.
