I definitely agree with the conditioning part. I was taught very young to help care for my mom. She had a ton of health issues and I was given the impression that eventually I would be caring for her full time.
I think he’s really gotta come to terms and apologize for this, and at the same time she’s gotta be able to live past it. I don’t think she’s wrong to be mad, I’d be mad too if I it happened to me. I’d also consider encouraging her to follow her dreams for a few years and let him support her
He said he won't go to your sister's wedding unless you buy his plane tickets!!! Even if you said nothing else about him, that comment alone is enough for me to know that your partner is self centred, immature and not interested in your needs/wants.
I think your sister's wedding has given you cause to rethink your relationship with this man-baby.
Actually, if he is on the spectrum, sometimes high emotions like people that cry a lot or are more extreme emotionally actually causes issues. I don't do well around people that cry a lot, it makes me very uncomfortable. Even just someone who is very loud and abrasive with their emotions, it makes me anxious and defensive, even if it's not at me. It's very common with Autism.
