There is a reason he cant have a gun and looking at his temper its a good one. He cant go hunting. Thats his problem. He is almost 40 dating a girl in her 20s and act this way… This is not someone you want to be with.
That’s your perspective. She’s not just flirting. It’s part of it and it’s her right.
He has “cheated” on her before. Nobody who is happy in their relationship will cheat, right? I put “cheated” in quotations because she claimed he cheated but he says that weren’t even together at the time. I believe him. Then he goes on to “marry” her because she pressured him to and he felt guilty. Every time I see him with her, he looks miserable and it’s obvious he’s forcing a connection that’s not there. So, I’m here to save him.
Yes… I agree. I just have to look at the relationship in a more realistic way, instead of idealizing the potential future…
I thought it was weird when she said she would love to have his child, after only being together for 6 months. That was a red flag for me.
The switching gendered pronouns makes it sound like there's three people involved, so I'm not absolutely certain what's going on here. If you were dating someone twenty years older than you and he's trying to get back together with you, blocking him is appropriate. Don't date him.

I think there are a couple places where I balk (young kids, not having a career, loving in a SHCOL place, and generally not having my ducks in a row), but in the end, the delaying and standing in my own way only prevents me from being happy.
My choices have repercussions, and I recognize that.
