People who say they speak their mind are always surprised when other people stop talking to them. There’s a reason why thoughts don’t spontaneously erupt into words. Speaking your mind is just rude and you deserve to be kept away from your grandchildren. DIL has no idea what you will say to them. All you can do is apologize, let her know you won’t insult her again and truly try to better yourself. Grandchildren are better off without toxic grandparents around.

Whatever her intent, that’s what’s happening. You’re working 2 jobs and doing everything around the house. She sees that and doesn’t care. Picture if the roles were reversed. Your girlfriend was working 2 jobs and doing all the home maintenance-cooking, cleaning, etc. Would you be ok with that? I doubt it, because no decent person would be. This is unsustainable for you. Is this how you want to online the rest of your life? She seems perfectly content with the status quo of your basically doing all the work while she reaps the benefits.
I agree. She made the comment that if I didn't want to spend money then I shouldn't be in a relationship. But thats bullshit to me, you can be with someone and not spend money.
