Is it worry about debt? Or a concern over losing your freedom or independence? Body image issues about how your body might change? A fear of medical procedures? These are all very different. It sounds like he is incredibly bored, likely lonely and has disappeared into a bubble. I can somewhat sympathise, as when I got too ill to work, it could also be pretty lonely and I developed hobbies, which non of my friends shared. However, the solution isn’t to harass people into spending time with you and definitely not, to discourage everyone else’s hobbies. The solution is to go out and find other hobbies, where you can be social with people, which will work for your ability level. Charity work and local hobby groups are great. Anyway, that is his problem and he is trying to make it yours, by being an ass. Block him and move on with your life. Maybe it’ll actually trigger him to learn this time, as he sure as hell didn’t last time.
