It would absolutely not be financially abusive to move your paycheque into your personal account. It’s protecting yourself. Your SO’s friend is lying to his SO. Your SO lied to you. This will only escalate until the sum he owes is so big that he’ll decide it’s worth losing a friend over and he’ll disappear.
