Things like this will always feel awkward and uncomfortable before and during the conversation, but afterwards, I’d like to think you’ll all feel lighter and less tense.
Perhaps consider creating some rules for the discussion. Maybe everyone gets a few min to talk without being interrupted. No obviously rude comments and no name calling. Everyone must be kind and respectful. People can express their perspective on a situation, but then others must be kind when expressing their perspective or their option.
