Sometimes we can't get through it on our own. And that's ok. So getting therapy isn't going to hurt you at all in this situation. You're already pretty down. Things can only improve with therapy.
But you know in your heart that gloating over the death of someone's father is a terrible thing. I understand she hurt you, but that's just bad form, man.
And, newsflash, you aren't the only one who's ever been cheated on. It happens all the time. And people pick up and move on afterward. You can do it too. Sometimes it's not without battle scars. But you can't stay stuck in it. You owe it to yourself to move on and have better, get better, be better.
it's 8 yrs later. for me i probably wouldn't mind. he's very much an adult so he can probably handle this person asking. worth a shot, it really doesn't hurt much.
People who don't want their partner looking at their phones are keeping secrets
Are you sure about that?
What evidence do you have that the “blackmail” is true? Your post indicates you never saw the video or texts. Is that correct, or am I misreading it?
Ok, so I usually dont comment here, so please be patient with me. For relationships there is, sadly or luckily, no one size fits all solution. HOWEVER when it comes to communication, there are some tried and tested things that might help. 1. I know it might be uncomfortable BUT try to have important conversations in person as there are many aspects of communication that get lost over text such as body language, inflection and facial expressions. I get that it is hot to face the music and sometimes, when we are alone problems seem massive but miniscule when we are with our partner. I know this due to personal experience. 2. To not come off as demanding, focus what you say on yourself and your feelings while refraining from making statements that involve your bf like Dont: I want you to be the person that initiates our calls more often Do: I enjoy our phone talks but feel like the burden of calling depends solely on me. I know / hope you enjoy them too but it can sometines feel like that this is entirely one-sided. Similarly, you could talk about the gifts / where to eat. 3. Learn about love language; Now, you dont have to specifically identify with any of them. However, love can be expressed in various different ways and not everyone feels them the same way. For example, my SO really requires / responds greatly to physical contact as well as small presentations of love. So I know that when they are upset, I can help them greatly by physically comforting them and maybe cook something they like. I, on the other hand, am not too big of a fan of physical touch. Not that I dislike it but I appreciate small gestures of aknowledgement more e.g. Good morning / enjoy your lunch / I thought about you texts. Communicating these made many things easier for us. Basically, you let them know how they can make you feel appreciated / loved in a more efficient way. I hope this helps and all the luck to you two 😀
I think is a international requirement to have at least one slept with anyone that you traveled in secrete with.
Find someone who respects you as you deserve
Doesn't actually mean anything to me sorry, just put together three random words
Damn, this is sad. I am so sorry for the hurt you two have been through.
Really hope it doesn't have to end this way between you guys, and that she can one day walk past that dark time she had in her life and see the difference in you.
