Because he won’t have the chance to do it before. No one NEEDS anything besides the necessities in life. He wants a guys weekend to celebrate his marriage and fatherhood and to bond with his friends before everything changes when the baby is born. I don’t get why that’s so problematic.
My mom was a single mom before she met my stepdad. They got married shortly after they started dating. I wasn’t an easy kid, and my stepdad is about 8 years older than my mom. Long story short, I hate my life, my mom isn’t mentally unstable and my step dad has issues too. You did the right thing by leaving. And your ex needs way more therapy than she claimed she received. I feel terrible for the child to have such an emotionally irresponsible mother.
