No one is saying men are scared of commitment. This is about men stringing a woman along for years knowing they don't want to marry her, but don't have the spine to end it.
They wait it out until she ends it. Men know within 2 years if they want to marry the woman they are with. If a man knows he doesn't want to get married at all, then don't date a woman who does. Same with kids. If you don't want kids, and she does or vise versa, then you don't date them.

If it's about religion, maybe god has a family who can't have kids. Adoption. I mean didn't God put doctors and knowledge here or something too? Not good for the whole family to have a walking picture reminder of a traumatic event. Lots of therapy and communication are needed.

Honestly there was time where there was something, but I've put that behind me, I have too much to work on myself before putting someone else into my life, this was a legitimate platonic visit, I'd never heard of Bangladesh before meeting with her and thought this would be a great opportunity to visit, having someone that can speak the language (I'm learning it because i enjoy learning languages, but my oh my it's a complex one) and knows her way around Dhaka, the capital, and one of the most crowded place in the world. That to me was great, it was having a beacon nearby in a country that has 100x my country's population in 1% of my country's size.
I was putting an effort and I'm just not seeing her put one for me, maybe a half effort…
