Why would you want to be with someone who thinks you’re stupid?
When you reach adulthood, you get to make adult choices. If you are younger adult, you may not realize something is unsavory through a lack of experience or knowledge about the world. However, this doesn't mean that every age gap is automatically suspect.
I have a friend who married a guy seventeen years older than she. They were both professionals in the same field, and discovered they got along great. He'd had a son in his first marriage who was now married with a new baby, so my friend became an instant-grandmother when she married. At a ten-year high school reunion, when people were sharing pictures of their kids, she could say, “Let me show you my granddaughter!”
They got along great, because they had similar attitudes, similar approaches to things, and shared in ideas like not having kids and such.
There was no grooming going on. The fact that he was old enough to be her father wasn't automatically squicky (though some people would feel that way), because they acted like adults around each other, as far as I could see.
If your boyfriend always treated you like a child, or someone underage, excusing it as pet names, that would be worrisome. If your boyfriend told you that you were more sexually attractive when you were younger, and asked you to do things to make you look younger, that would be worrisome. If your boyfriend had met you when you were underage, and talked of waiting until you were “legal” and such, that would be worrisome. If your boyfriend had tried to guide your thinking to the idea that he was the only person who understood you, and would care for you, and you couldn't trust other people who only wanted to use you, that would be worrisome at any age.
To me, the fact that you have a six-year age gap doesn't matter; you were nineteen, and it sounds like he treated you like an adult the whole time. I've seen adult teenagers who acted their age, and others who seemed more like high-school freshmen than college freshmen; presumably, you acted like a mature adult, and that was part of the appeal.
